Aversano (Aver.2000.2), p. 100, draws this desire and that referred to at [Par XXI 48] into relation with the disio mentioned in Inferno XXVI, first that of the protagonist ([Inf XXVI 69]), then that of Ulysses (his ardore [[Inf XXVI 97]]), and finally that of his shipmates (he has made them aguti [...] al cammino [[Inf XXVI 121-122]]).
